Global Money Crisis creates Jobs in the PI
October 15, 2008 Write a Comment PilipinasI provide technical support for Dell’s corporate business segment in the United States. That means I talk to Americans working in the army, hospitals, schools among other businesses with more than a hundred employees. People who are affected by the current slump in the global economy. Some Americans who tell you that they just lost their jobs and their computer’s functionality. It’s very sad in that part of the world but this post is not about that but the opportunity that it creates for Pinoys. continue reading…

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is in need of a Philippines Campaigns Assistant who would manage and coordinate PETA Asia-Pacific’s media work throughout Asia, as assigned by the director of PETA Asia-Pacific. Must be willing to be relocated to Manila. Do the jump if you are prepared to fight animal abuse.
I’m sharing this as I’m still a struggling vegetarian. I might consider applying in the future when I could completely get meat out of my diet. continue reading…
Thirty The Dollar

This is the look of a rice priced at Php45.00
Peso to Dollar exchange rate hits forty four(44) to one(1) today. Good job to Mrs. President because this strength in the currency should be credited to her recent visit to the US and not the recent win of boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao. Be it that or both, the same sentiments remain in the heart of every Filipinos. Price of gasoline and rice still continues to grow. Fare rates are still on every driver’s platforms and rice hoarders still party as hard!
The thing here is however the Philippine peso in strengthened in just a very short span of time won’t be felt by any Filipino. If our government could not stabilize any factor on its functions we will continue to feel irrelevant. Our clinched fisted continue reading…
Lest We Forget

I’ve been taking one of the toughest sea current in the country for almost 4 years while in college. Going back and forth in the TaƱon Strait between the islands of Cebu and Negros Oriental has given me both the thrills and the chills of travelling through the ocean.
The sinking of MV Princess of the Stars is a testament of how dangerous our seas could get. Add a mixture of wind and rain and it could get more than that. The largest passenger carrying ship in the Philippines did not escape the whipping of nature. Good job to the authorities, ship’s captain and its owner for being brave in allowing the ship to sail and fail. Special mention to our beloved president and a number of politicians who could not even cancel their US trip to maybe save some buck from their 5-star hotel bookings. We feel so fucking loved!

Ces Just Checked Out
June 18, 2008 1 comment PilipinasHere’s a quote from RD Cruz‘ post about the release of Ces Drilon and party.
It was the most beuatiful thing ive seen in a long time. newsroom personnel gatherd around the speakerphone and just welcomed her back. she passed the phone to Jimmy and he too had his share of welwishers. the newsroom scarmbled to break the story, even as another set started to work on making sure Ces got her clothes and other paraphernalia which had been entrusted to Ina and Jay. I was tonr between laughing and crying.
Independence Day

The whole idea is that we are free from the grip of these nations: Spain, Japan, United States of America. Though in most aspect of being independent from these nations is not really true. A shame to those guys who fought the war - may it be staged or not - who are now in the high heavens - well, maybe. I still take pride in being called a Filipino. Though we are looked down as a race I would still choose to be a Filipino - in whatever form because I love the idea of reincarnation.
Today, while on my way home, Filipinos are gathered infront of the city’s capitol building with solid steel baricades to separate them from the untouchables that we now call the politicians - and including the other legislatures. That is Filipino knocking on some other Filipino’s door that’s been closed momentarily because of the significant date. Beats me! Though I hate the activists who walk the streets because they fuck up the traffic I still support their heart. Maybe we are independent but up to which level?
Happy Independence to us all!!!
Manny Pacquiao Stamps?
June 2, 2008 2 comments Pilipinas
When Filipinos learned to use the world wide web the importance of post office is lessen. Nobody sends letters - which are often lost along the way - using POs. They now send it through emails, SMS and POs biggest competition the faster couriers. Spending a little extra didn’t matter to the thinning wallets of Filipinos who just wants their letters delivered.
With poor sales, our country’s PO is now doing the trick that might help them up their sales. So, comes, the Manny Pacquiao’s stamps! Yes, Manny is super but is this how our country is now qualified to? A celebrity who don’t even respect the order in church? Well, I was inside one of Cebu’s churches when he and his super friend Chavit Singson were transferring from one seat to the other to maybe be recognized by the priest - who happens to be a foreigner so mention was made, thank God! - during the course of the mass.
So now he belongs to where our national heroes and presidents were? Good lord, save us!

There’s No Cure For What You Are!
April 24, 2008 3 comments Pilipinas, PolitricksToday my friends, I am The Poet. This is my take on the current “situation” in the Philippines. How a handful of fucking society elite fuck up such a hopeful nation. I stopped thinking politics when I started to enjoy college but now that is over.
