Beat the BUSHes

October 7, 2008 3 comments Politricks

Etymology: based on the practice in hunting of having someone hit bushes with a stick in order to force birds hiding in them to fly up into the air to be shot.

With the current beating of the US economy, I’m hoping the Mr. Bush‘ signing the $700 billion rescue plan is not something like “beating the bushes.” This guy’s been a hunter and let’s hope he respects the principles of hunting before he leave the White House.

Barack ObamaI woke up early this morning. That’s unusual for people working in a callcenter. The reason for that is my absence from work last night. Our unpredictable shifting schedules lately, which I blame on the untimely forecast of the people responsible, has caught up with my health and my drive for work. That is not what this post is all about though. This is about the nearing United States Presidential elections.

I caught up with the live cast from one of the amplitude modulation radio station here in Cebu. Mr. Gore was on. The choice of media is not because I prefer radio over television but because I don’t have a tube and my computer’s AVR(automatic voltage regulator) decided to not work. Radio is the only medium available.

Oooh, the sweeet talks! continue reading…

Hillary Clinton finally bows down to the black guy, Barack Obama, as the presidential bid for Democrats. History is made either way if they(Democrats) win the presidency. Obama will be the first black guy to ever win America. I can’t wait how McCain will be able to top the showbiz-ness of the rivalry that Clinton and Obama had. Hillary might settle for the vice presidency which will still give her power to push through her health care thing. We’ll see! Will we, Obama?

Tangent Of The Damned

The river is mostly dry that turns into a violent milk-chocolate mix of soil and water and whatever on earth it rolled on when little rain happens to kiss the mountains at far back. It’s not a river. But a path. The path that have taken lives just months ago. My better half once told me how scared she was seeing a hand waving help when the water was meters high. The room that we still rent is looking proudly down on that river and the next day’s morning print accounted at least three missing heads.

Now, this river ends on sea. So, we are the sea. So, we are the river. What good will a famous milk(white) and a highly regarded chocolate(black) bring to our world? The rain hasn’t even poured yet. How divided is a party? How divided is a union? We are one yet we still seek for the one.

Oh, hell or ray of bomb, ma? (The US Presidential Race)

Today my friends, I am The Poet. This is my take on the current “situation” in the Philippines. How a handful of fucking society elite fuck up such a hopeful nation. I stopped thinking politics when I started to enjoy college but now that is over.

Rice for the poor.
Confidence to restore.
Roles to capture.
Who is the vulture?

Bring the currency up.
Plot is a flop!
