Equi-eight
August 8, 2008 Short On IdeasToday is the day when the infinite eight(8) completes its circle. It’s eight hits eight. It’s party at eight eight eight(08.08.08)! I call it equi-eight. I see nothing significant to the date but for the sake of those who wants to see more than just the numbers I would like to share my take for the big 8.
However businessmen strategize this date to sell I’m not buying. I would expect a lot of church weddings when commuting today and I would see to it to check everytime I pass by one. I’m not equating church to business but however I try to manipulate the formula they often equate and in my little computation churches will be making a lot of dough today which would probably be second to resorts or hotels where the party should be headed next. That’s very business.
Another significant, oh yeah significant, event that was designed to fall on this date is the opening of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing, China. The venue explains the date.
Final note: However the dates are arranged we are responsible for its significance. Numbers can move but not moving won’t make a number more than just a number.

I was supposed to join the party in Mandaue but it’s just unfortunate - bad timing nlang
- because my leave was scheduled thursday and friday and I get to spend the weekend off with my relatives whom I haven’t seen for more than half a year.
