PGMA’s SONA ‘09 (Full transcript)
2 comments Pilipinas, PolitricksReally, I just wanna sit down and not give a flying (f)uck about the words that’s comin’ out of the currently seated Philippine President. Continue with whatever I was doing – that’s what I actually did – and let all words vanish into space like the worthlessness of the whole President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s State of the Nation Address. But it’s not very Filipino, what I did. So, I scouted the internet for the full transcript of it all. Credit goes to this guy!

Forgive and Forget; The road to Dael.com
9 comments DaelIt ain’t easy.
If I am to point out the single event that changed my life forever was when a relative, of my last name, let out a careless whisper addressing insult to the whole descendant of my grandfather(father’s side) that I heard. I was a couple of steps away from the lady that I never really know who. We were visiting as it was the season for giving and our oldies wanted to put a little smile in our innocent faces when receiving some crispy pesos-es from the wealthy lady of our clan. Clearly that moment didn’t put a smile in me. I was probably eight or nine when this happened. More than one-half of my life I always hated the people before my grandfather.
Then, it happened when my cousin, of the same grandfather, got married very recently that I ever stepped again on the place where the hate originated. I never remembered how the place looked like but I know a bodega of Coke products was in there. So I asked and confirmed in all politeness if it was the place. It was! People were all smiles but the hurt that I’ve been keeping in the deepest darkest chest in my heart was renewed.
It’s my utmost desire to forgive but I just couldn’t. Guess it’s true when they say scars never heal. Not even time for this matter. I don’t know how to bury the hate but I cant allow it to swallow me whole again.
So, as an attempt to to end the long kept feeling I wanted to connect to anyone with my last name in a way that I know. I’m wanting to buy dael.com for the purpose of getting a place for anyone who uses Dael as their last name. This should be a great big step in the road to forgiving the clan that I despised.
The domain currently houses the resume of David Jenkins a successful man. I’ve sent him an email about my interest and still hoping for a positive response.

Michael Jackson popped out!
1 comment Music
Learning about his death hinted conspiracy(!) to me. Why? Well, there were tour dates for next month, July, in UK with sold out tickets. “This Is It” was the now prophetic title of the tour. Dates after the jump which, I would assume, will become a series of tribute concerts as a way for the organizers to still make money out of him. We all know Michael Jackson have not performed in the past years due to health issues and the highly publicized scandal.
Maybe because I was too young to get hooked to his music during his prime but the name Michael Jackson always got my respect. Always one of the people, real people, in popular music that I think had faith in their craft and was never afraid to showcase it to anyone.
He may not be a great loss for the music industry in the present but his legacy will always be. Now the world will start missing you, Michael. (Continued…)
PhP1000 worth of free advertising on Google AdWords?
3 comments AdvertisingI received an email from Google Analytics Philippines today about trying out Google AdWords. A PhP1000 worth of coupon, that I could use before July 17, 2009, was generously offered. I wasn’t really alienated by this as other advertising networks also have such but the thing that got me to really dig into the email was the currency – Philippine peso!
I was amused that all the links and email addresses looked legit. No scary hashes! Included in the email is a short FAQ on why advertisers should use Google Adwords and instructions on how to redeem the AdWords coupon.
I’m not decided yet to do anything about it but if you happen to see on your Google Adsense a link to this blog then this offer is TRUE and used it.
I don’t know if this is offered to everybody using these services from Google but if you’ve tried this, please let me know and how far will a PhP1000 worth coupon take me?

Cebu Fête de la Musique ‘09 will be on June 21, 2009 at The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu 5pm onwards.

I’m looking forward to seeing Sheila and the Insects again and of course Smooth Friction as I haven’t seen them perform in a long time. Cuarenta’s blues though is still reverberating sexy-ly in my head.
