Reveille Reborn
October 21, 2008 Music
I consider Reveille to be one of the best band in the rock ‘n’ roll world in terms of lyrics. Drew Simmolardes, vocalist/lyricist, is a f*cking genius and Paul Gargano, formerly of Metal Edge, I think, shares this same view on the man. I even had one of Reveille’s lyrics included in my high school’s English class portfolio where we compile our own poems, essays, sketches and other artistic things. So, though I didn’t really enjoyed the second album that much, it was sad to hear this band disband.
So, what in the glass of history am I posting this for? Well, they are reuniting! This is the year for reunions, man! I wish Bush would as well. Do the jump to read the press release for this epic show.
After years of silence, all five original members of Reveille have announced that they will be reuniting for one epic show. The concert, titled “Reveille Reborn” is set to take place at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts on Friday, December 26th.
“None of us could ever have imagined that we’d be sharing the same stage again. When we split apart, we each felt that it was completely over forever,” said lead singer, Drew Simollardes “That’s why the show is titled ‘Reveille Reborn’ because Reveille truly is rising from the dead.”
Signed to Elektra Records directly out of high school, Reveille went on to release two internationally distributed records, “Laced” and “Bleed the Sky.” Through years of playing Ozzfest, Woodstock ‘99 and Warped Tour, as well as touring with acts such as Sevendust, Static-X, Godsmack, Machinehead, Kid Rock, Powerman 5000, and Nonpoint, Reveille gained a loyal and rabid fan following. Known for their relentless energy and aggression, many fans considered Reveille to be one of the best live shows in hard rock.
