US with Obama and how Americans feel about him

Always curious about the atmosphere that’s created after Barack Obama won the US presidency, I compiled lines from customers(North American corporate business group using Dell computers) who answered my question “How’s the atmosphere in there with Obama as the president?” during our troubleshooting sessions.

Ken said, “I’ve always wanted to have a leader to rule like it’s business. Government is business. He’s ideas are great but it will still be about who he surrounds himself with.”

Mary said, “Obama stands for hope. We need it.”

Ramona said, “In general its hopeful. We had a hard 8 years with Bush. We wanted him out but we just couldn’t. Bush was an arrogant stupid person. What can I say?”

Adrian said, “Happy for it. Everybody is pretty much into it now.”

Diane said, “I think people got hope after Bush. I think that guy was stupid. He brought this country down. He’s the lowest rated American president ever!”

This entry will be updated as soon as I get customers not busy enough to just focus about resolving their computer’s problems only.

I’m stuffed, man!

I have to finish the first season of House M.D. because I feel obliged to do so. I have to get my mind off of the fact that I got a pile of laundry staring at me. Dirty floor, unkept sheets and whatever else I haven’t handled in the past three weeks – that includes a hungry stomach. And I’ve to plan a surprise for my girlfriend who’ll be turning another year old in a couple of days. The LeDonne partnership with my company gives me 20% off which should be a good bargain but women are always very picky when it comes to shoes and bags so I’d rather not dare a couple of thousand bucks mistake. :| And returning it to the store would be another hassle-plus-infinity as I have to travel both land and water to celebrate her birthday.

The series of fast food trips is unhealthy. The satisfaction of mañana habit is overnight. Cigarette adds to a dirty floor. There are many entity affecting this side of my mind that’s been asking for a break. I took two days of the available incentive leaves offered for my team so I could swim out of the asphixiating waters of the city. I’m going provincial starting this coming Friday until Monday to get some fresh air.

And, yeah, Barack Obama won the US Presidential Elections. That’s a break! And I mean that in a good way if you get what I mean. But don’t dig deeper, in a political sense of the fact as some policy might be bad for outsourcing businesses in our country when he won, as I just need a good break to end this post and nothing more. :D

Barack ObamaI woke up early this morning. That’s unusual for people working in a callcenter. The reason for that is my absence from work last night. Our unpredictable shifting schedules lately, which I blame on the untimely forecast of the people responsible, has caught up with my health and my drive for work. That is not what this post is all about though. This is about the nearing United States Presidential elections.

I caught up with the live cast from one of the amplitude modulation radio station here in Cebu. Mr. Gore was on. The choice of media is not because I prefer radio over television but because I don’t have a tube and my computer’s AVR(automatic voltage regulator) decided to not work. Radio is the only medium available.

Oooh, the sweeet talks! (Continued…)
