I’ve never been very active with the group since its early days but I’ve seen it grow. The group have grown into such a force that’s hard to deny. I’d love to congratulate the people behind this great engine that is CBS for a job well done in keeping the train a-chugging!

Creating Kenneth Cobonpue

Kenneth Cobonpue doesn’t need any introduction to the international furniture community or maybe even locally and though I missed the tour to his creative lair last September 5, 2009 with the Cebu Bloggers Society, because I happen to just sleep it through, I find it obligatory to still to post about him. A post that could someday inspire some of our brilliant minds in the same field as his to follow their star.

Anyway, for the uninitiated, Kenneth Cobonpue is an industrial designer known for his signature designs using rattan, buri, bamboo, and abaca.

It’s a wonder how he does it so listed below are the thoughts of the people who were there to witness and actually breath through the secrets of his creations:

DigitalFilipino Club in Cebu city

That’s me and Janette Toral of DigitalFilipino. We are looking on two different directions because a number of commissioned paparazzo wanted their shots. We just gave in, man. Haha And I remember her joking about mine and Clarence’ unshaved lower facial hair saying ang sipag.

I and the rest of the Cebu Bloggers Society were once again treated with food, entertainment, giveaways and all that jazz. We had a blast! is an understatement for the recent events that CBS participated in. About a couple of days ago, we were partying hard, sweaty and all at the VIP area for the Samsung Fun Club Day at SM city Cebu. Last night, we were taking it slow at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino for the DigitalFilipino Club Networking Fellowship here in Cebu city sponsored by PAGCOR. The event was short but sweet that if it was a candy cane you’d be licking on to your fingers until the sweet glands on your tongue says your overdoing it, man. (Continued…)

Ah, the benefits of blogging!

The potentially growing force of Cebu Bloggers met up in two days straight. We were at Figaro last Thursday afternoon to discuss, pay and finalize our “Blogger ko, bai!” shirt which we’ll be donning on the Digital Filipino event on the 23rd at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in. The second meetup, which was last night, was the afterparty of Samsung‘s Fun Club Day in Cebu city which was held at the V-Hire terminal of SM City Cebu where the ever rocking and goofy bunch of Parokya ni Edgar once again treated Cebuanos with not only their brand of songs but with beer and vodka as well. Chito and Vinci cheered the crowd by giving almost everyone willing, and old enough to drink (Continued…)
