The Biggest pizza in the Philippines

Ever wondered where the biggest pizza is in the Philippines? If you are inside the Visayas region, look no further! We got it here in the City of Gentle People – Dumaguete city!

I’m no longer in Dumaguete as of the writing of this article but limme share some thoughts while eating the biggest pizza in country.

We scouted the whole stretch of the famed Dumaguete boulevard at around 5PM to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. That area of the city hasn’t changed much – not counting the current renovation on the boulevard and the taking over of the previous establishments by newer unknown, at least to me, ones. Establishments frequented by foreigners who either have permanently moved or were just there to escape the heat of the US elections and the economic recession in general.

We readied our palates for some pasta pigging but noticed a little space that’s new and inviting to both our eyes took that pasta desire away. Imagine not just the biggest pizza in town but the country’s! A eureka for this lover’s hunger! :D

We took the smallest and the best selling of ‘em all! It was the Mamma Mia of course according to the shy yet accommodating waitress. This variant is a beautiful mix of tomato sauce, mozarella cheese, ham, salami, onions and bell peppers. And I’ll let the pictures mouth the word for me from here onwards. ;)

Yeah, the shape is obviously not perfectly rounded. What you’d expect for something that’s homemade.

But, take a closer look.

Look how thin the dough is. It’s very thin but is stiff enough to hold the toppings and it’s not crunchy that’d disprove your quick hypothesis of eating nacho. :D

Here’s a quick browse on the prices. It wont hurt your wallet in anyway.

BTW, while we were consuming our Mamma Mia, an order for the biggest variant was about to be delivered. They have to tilt the box for it to pass the already wide mouthed door of the pizzeria.

I’m hoping to share some more of Dumaguete on my next visit.
